Expeditions

Excellent Development have teamed up with Quest Overseas to offer you the chance to help local communities build sand dams and plant trees in south east Kenya. Spend 4-6 weeks helping our projects, with the final 4 days spent relaxing on safari or at the beach.

Quest Overseas' gap year trips are 3 months long, combining project work and expedition. You will spend 6 weeks living and working with Kenyan communities to transform their lives for a sustainable future before travelling on through six different countries in East and Southern Africa. Prepare yourself to tackle Africa's second highest mountain and then take on the very best of what East and Southern Africa has to offer!

The trips are aimed at 17-19 year olds and the next trip will be leaving in January 2010. More details on Quest's Gap Year Projects

Spend four or five weeks volunteering with the amazing Kamba communities of southern Kenya. Work alongside whole communities from 20 to 100 people helping to construct sand dams that will provide clean water for years to come. Includes a relaxing weekend break heading off on safari through Tsavo National Park.
The expeditions are aimed at 17-24 year olds and the next expedition will be leaving in early July 2010. More details on Quest Summer Projects.
