Small Charity Week
Small Charity Week is an exciting initiative by the Foundation for Social Improvement (FSI) celebrating the diversity, vibrancy and value of small charities in the UK.
Having won the Third Sector's award for 'Small Charity, Big Achiever' last year, Excellent Development is proud to be a part of the small charity movement. The Community Channel have partnered with the FSI to showcase the work of small charities, and will be showing Excellent Development's film 'Walking on Water' at the following times: Weds 16th June @ 19:30 Thurs 17th June @ 08:30 Sat 19th June @ 08:30 and 19:30 Mark Dodd, director of digital media at Media Trust, which runs the Community Channel, explains: “We’re committed to raising awareness of small charities whose voices can often be overshadowed by the big national charities who have a great deal more money for marketing and advertising. “But these small charities do incredible work and make a tremendous contribution to our society, which should be acknowledged, especially so since so many suffer from a chronic lack of communications resources, despite having enormous passion and commitment for their cause.” You can find the Community Channel on Freeview (87), Sky (539) and Virgin TV (233).
